PuzzleSprout Terms of Use

Welcome to PuzzleSprout. The app is built for children ages 3–9 and their parents. By downloading or using PuzzleSprout, you (as a parent or guardian) agree to these terms.

1. About this app

PuzzleSprout is an iPad puzzle app: in the grown-up area, a parent picks a theme the child is learning, and the app makes a set of age-graded puzzles for the child to play in their own play area. The app is operated by a parent and used under parental supervision.

2. The parental gate

Every grown-up action (generating puzzles, the subscription, child-profile management, opening system settings) is locked behind a parental gate. The gate requires solving a two-digit addition problem and completing a press-and-hold gesture. Please do not demonstrate how to pass the gate in front of your child. The child’s play area contains no grown-up entry points, no purchase entry points, and no outbound links.

3. AI-generated content and parental review

Some puzzle artwork is created with the help of AI image generation. Generation happens only in Parent mode, after you pass the parental gate, and only when you choose to make a new puzzle; children never interact with AI. Every generated image is shown to you for review before it can enter the child’s library. You have the final say over whether any puzzle reaches your child and should confirm its suitability before delivering it.

4. Subscriptions & billing

PuzzleSprout Plus is an auto-renewing subscription processed by the Apple App Store:

• Monthly: a 7-day free trial, then $6.99/month (or the equivalent price in your region).
• Yearly: a 7-day free trial, then $45.99/year (or the equivalent price in your region).

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel anytime in iPad Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you can keep using it until then. If a free trial applies, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com).

Puzzles you’ve made stay yours: a subscription unlocks making fresh, parent-approved puzzles whenever you like. Puzzles you’ve already made stay yours even after a trial or subscription ends — your child can keep playing them.

5. Your responsibilities

PuzzleSprout is a tool for your child to use under your supervision. Please supervise your child’s play and manage screen use and breaks at your discretion. You are responsible for choosing appropriate themes and age stages for your child.

6. Intellectual property

PuzzleSprout’s app interface, branding, mascot, and underlying technology belong to the PuzzleSprout team. You may use the puzzles you generate within PuzzleSprout for personal, non-commercial family use.

7. Service provided “as is”

We work to keep PuzzleSprout stable, calm, and safe, but the app is provided “as is” and we make no absolute guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. AI-generated artwork is for your child’s play and is subject to your review.

8. Changes to the service

We may improve, modify, or adjust the app’s features from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated in the app or on this page.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and significant changes will be noted in the app.
